Work Location:

Currently all our staff are working remotely. Roles may be offered based on working remotely temporarily and subsequently from our London office.

Interviews:

Vacancies:

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Seminar Leaders – Supervision Seminar

Academic Year:  October 2021 – May 2022

We have a vacancy for supervisor/seminar leader to work on the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy starting in October 2021.  This is a four year BACP validated training course leading to BPC, UKCP (CPJA) registration.   Seminars will be delivered in person at our building at London Bridge.

This module is intended to introduce first year trainees to the WPF Therapy Clinic, Safeguarding and Risk Assessment, Policies and Procedures at WPF Therapy and to help them develop their counselling skills.  It is intended to prepare them for their first WPF Therapy client and develop their understanding and skills in how to effectively engage in their clinical supervision group.  The module will focus on the management and supervision of a client in a particular organisation but will allow for the examination of issues of management and supervision in general.

  • The supervision seminar takes place on Thursdays, from 5.30pm – 7.00pm
  • 25 sessions (October – May) Term Time only
  • Salary £34,103 (Full Time Equivalent)pro rata.
  • Actual salary :£1,417

You must be a qualified and experienced psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapist with a professional qualification in working with adults, accredited with BACP, or registered with UKCP(CPJA) or BPC with a supervision qualification or experience of supervising.

Seminar Leader  – Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills (Mode 1)

October 2021-July 2022

An opportunity to teach on a popular and highly rated counselling skills course.

The WPF Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills provides a grounding in basic skills of listening and responding and in counselling ethics. The course is designed both as a foundation for further training and also as a stand-alone training. We are currently recruiting for a Seminar Leader.

Seminar Times:   Wednesdays 6.15pm-7.45pm

Contact Hours: 1.5 hours per week over 30 weeks

Course dates:

Term 1 Wednesday 6th October – Wednesday 15th December 2021
Term 2 Wednesday 12th January – Wednesday, 23rd March 2022
Term 3 Wednesday, 27th April – Wednesday, 13th July 2022

Term One of this course will be ONLINE (Zoom) with a return to our building at London Bridge from January 2022.  You will need to be able to work both online and in building. 

Salary:  £34.103 Full Time Equivalent

Actual Salary: £2,631 (all inclusive)

Academic Standards Manager (Training Directorate)

WPF Therapy offers training in psychotherapy from introductory courses to full qualification.  Each year there are approximately 200 students and trainees on training courses.

The appointee will lead a small team and will be accountable for:

  • the academic standards on all WPF training programmes
  • overall management of the trainee contract with the organisation
  • the management of processes underpinning the trainee journey
  • the management of data on trainees and courses which contribute to the organisation’s capacity to effectively manage its activities.
  • Student/Trainee support for programmes including managing learning resources and implementation and management of innovative strategies to develop the learning environment.

This role reports to the Director of Studies.

Work Hours:  21 hours across 3 days (to include Mondays and Thursdays)

Salary:             £46,865 full time equivalent

Pro rata actual salary £28,119 per annum

The role is based at London Bridge with opportunity for some remote working.

Administrative Officer (Training)

An opportunity to support staff and trainees on a popular and highly-rated psychotherapy training

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative officer to work with us from our offices at London Bridge.

The Administrative Officer provides broad based administrative support encompassing administrative processes within the whole organisation. The role includes working with validating and accrediting bodies, relating to students and academic staff and clients, assisting with programme recruitment and assessment, including enrolment and finance. The Administrative Officer will be expected to work collaboratively with the Training and Clinic Managers, and with the other team members.

Salary:         Full Time Equivalent £26,500.00 per annum

Actual pro rata salary £15,900.00 per annum

Hours:       21 Hours per week across 5 days– start and finish times to be agreed.

Some flexibility around the start and finish times will be required to cover changing business requirements.

(Including working on a Saturday rota)

Up to six Sundays a year are also required to be covered.

The role is remote working until staff return to the office space, based at London Bridge.

Experiential Group Conductors (Various times)

Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy – October 2021

An opportunity to work on a popular and highly rated psychodynamic psychotherapy course.

WPF Therapy has been running training for over 50 years.  Experiential groups are a core part of all WPF Therapy trainings.  We currently have vacancies for experiential group conductors to run experiential groups on the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in October.  This course runs from October to July.  All our training is currently on Zoom, but we anticipate a return to our building at London Bridge for the academic year 2021 at some point so applicants will need to be prepared to move between building and online delivery.  Applicants must be group-analytic psychotherapists registered with UKCP and with experience of running groups on Zoom.   We would prefer applicants to be able to offer more than one group.

Hours: 1.5 hours per week over 30 weeks plus meetings

  • Mondays – 4.00pm – 5.30pm
  • Thursdays – 7.15pm – 8.45pm
  • Fridays – 11.00am – 12.30pm

Salary:  £31,520.00 full time equivalent. – £1,818.00 per group (all inclusive).

Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Programme Manager (Assessment) – Permanent

14 hours per week (with a view to increasing next academic year to include teaching)

WPF Therapy is in an exciting phase of change and this is an opportunity to work with our Director of Studies to shape and co-lead with the Programme Manager (Selection) the psychodynamic psychotherapy programme.  This post holder will have responsibility for the last two years of training including assessment and the MA dissertation modules.  Their focus will be on the academic and curriculum development of the programme.   Initially the post is 14 hours but it is envisaged that the post holder will take up some teaching (paid additionally) for trainees in the final years of training.

Work Hours:          14 hours across 2 or days (to include Mondays and Fridays)

Occasional Saturdays (approx. 6 a year)

Salary:                 Full Time Equivalent – £46,865.00 per annum pro rata (all inclusive)

Actual Salary:     £18,746.00 per annum
