Work Location:

Currently all our staff are working remotely. Roles may be offered based on working remotely temporarily and subsequently from our London office.

Vacancies:

Academic Tutors (2 posts) Training – Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Programme

WPF Therapy is expanding and developing its Learning Resources Centre.  We are looking for two motivated professionals to join our team and help us create an integrated service to help trainees and students on the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training to achieve to the best of their potential. We have two posts:

Academic Tutor (Seminar Essays and Clinical Essays);

Academic Tutor (Writing and Study Skills Support).  The roles may overlap in tasks.

Working Pattern:             Up to 36 hours per term (10-week terms) with a minimum 3 hours student contact per week -timings flexible to meet demands.

                                    Permanent

Salary:                       £34, 104 per year

Actual Salary:         £2,360.98 per year

You will predominantly be working with trainees on the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Programme, but there may also be occasional support for students on our introductory courses or MA course.  The Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Programme has approximately 120 trainees on the whole programme of whom about 35 graduate every year.  From 1st October training will be delivered in our building.  You may do some tutorials online (on Microsoft Teams).  You will also be expected to attend line management and team meetings via Microsoft Teams.

You will be responsible for supporting trainees and students with writing seminars and clinical essays.  In addition to this it is anticipated that the Academic Tutor (Writing and Study Skills Support) will provide specialist help for trainees and students with specific learning differences. You will understand how this may have an adverse impact upon their ability to study

You will support trainees and students by:

  • Offering 1:1 tutorials through a pre-arranged booking system
  • Offering ‘drop-in’ sessions
  • Running academic skills and clinical essay writing workshops in the Autumn and Spring terms
  • Drafting learning plans for individual trainees and students
  • Ensuring that any issues are flagged up appropriately and in time

Using your degree, additional specialist qualification or skills, and relevant experience within the sector, you will liaise with professionals and staff across the organisation to provide a confidential support and advisory service within a proactive and central context.

Administrative Officer (Training)

An opportunity to support staff and trainees on a popular and highly-rated psychotherapy training

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative officer to work with us from our offices at London Bridge to start immediately.

The Administrative Officer provides broad based administrative support encompassing administrative processes within the whole organisation. The role includes working with validating and accrediting bodies, relating to students and academic staff and clients, assisting with programme recruitment and assessment, including enrolment and finance. The Administrative Officer will be expected to work collaboratively with the Training and Clinic Managers, and with the other team members.

Salary:          £26,500.00 per annum

Hours:         35 Hours per week across 5 days– start and finish times to be agreed

Some flexibility around the start and finish times will be required to cover changing business requirements (including working up to six Saturdays and Sundays a year (for which time of in lieu will be granted).

Location:      The role is based is at London Bridge with the option for occasional homeworking.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Seminar Leaders for October 2021

WPF Therapy is in an exciting phase including a review of the programme to ensure that it is a contemporary and relevant psychodynamic training. The training is pluralistic within the psychodynamic frame and applicants from different perspectives are encouraged to apply.

There are a number of vacancies for seminar leaders for the academic year 2021-2022. Those offered as fixed term modules are under review. Seminars are planned to take place in person in our building at London Bridge unless the pandemic prevents in person teaching when the teaching will take place on Zoom.

In order to apply, you must be a qualified and experienced psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapist with a professional qualification in working with adults, accredited with BACP, or registered with UKCP(CPJA) or BPC.

The Full Time Equivalent annual salary for all teaching posts is £34,103 which is pro-rated depending on contact hours. When applying, please ensure you indicate which seminar/date/time you are applying for. You are asked to specifically address the subject matter of the seminar in your application. We encourage applications for more than one seminar.

Experiential Group Conductors (Various times)

Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy – October 2021

An opportunity to work on a popular and highly rated psychodynamic psychotherapy course.

WPF Therapy has been running training for over 50 years.  Experiential groups are a core part of all WPF Therapy trainings.  We currently have vacancies for experiential group conductors to run experiential groups on the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in October.  This course runs from October to July.  All our training is currently on Zoom, but we anticipate a return to our building at London Bridge for the academic year 2021 at some point so applicants will need to be prepared to move between building and online delivery.  Applicants must be group-analytic psychotherapists registered with UKCP and with experience of running groups on Zoom.   We would prefer applicants to be able to offer more than one group.

Hours: 1.5 hours per week over 30 weeks plus meetings

  • Mondays – 4.00pm – 5.30pm (1 group)
  • Thursdays – 7.15pm – 8.45pm (2 groups)
  • Fridays – 11.00am – 12.30pm (3 groups)

Salary:  £31,520.00 full time equivalent. – £1,818.00 per group (all inclusive).

Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Programme Manager (Assessment) – Permanent

14 hours per week (with a view to increasing next academic year to include teaching)

WPF Therapy is in an exciting phase of change and this is an opportunity to work with our Director of Studies to shape and co-lead with the Programme Manager (Selection) the psychodynamic psychotherapy programme.  This post holder will have responsibility for the last two years of training including assessment and the MA dissertation modules.  Their focus will be on the academic and curriculum development of the programme.   Initially the post is 14 hours but it is envisaged that the post holder will take up some teaching (paid additionally) for trainees in the final years of training.

Work Hours:          14 hours across 2 or days (to include Mondays and Fridays)

Occasional Saturdays (approx. 6 a year)

Salary:                 Full Time Equivalent – £46,865.00 per annum pro rata (all inclusive)

Actual Salary:     £18,746.00 per annum
