Seminar Leader for the Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills 

WPF Therapy is currently recruiting for two Seminar Leaders for the Foundation Certificate in Counselling to begin in October 2019. Applicants must be qualified and experienced psychoanalytic, psychodynamic or group analytic psychotherapists with a professional qualification in working with adults, accredited with BACP, or registered with UKCP or BPC. This well established and respected course provides an interactive and thorough grounding in the basic skills of listening and responding and in counselling ethics. The course is designed both as a foundation for further training and also as a stand-alone training.

Foundation Certificate (Mode 1): 30 weeks across 3 terms. Term 1: 2 October-11 December 2019; Term 2: 8 January-18 March 2020; Term 3: 22 April-1 July 2020.

Senior Clinician

We are looking for an experienced Senior Clinician to join our team. Working as part of a team of highly qualified individuals you will demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm in your work. As a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist, psychoanalytic psychotherapist or group analytic psychotherapist, you must be registered with a professional body: BACP, UKCP or BPC and have experience of providing individual initial consultations and assessment reports as well as responding to clinical risk and providing supervision to colleagues.

Learning Resources Coordinator

Reporting to the Academic Standards Manager you will have an essential role in ensuring the effective delivery of the library and digital services, and creating an excellent service for staff and trainees. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and equipped to work in a busy environment with changing needs throughout the year. Experience in a library or learning centre is an advantage.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing our print, AV and digital resources.

Director of Clinical Services

We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Clinical Services to run our psychotherapy clinics. Operating as a social enterprise, our clinics provide a range of talking therapies including short term, long term, group and individual, as well as placements for our Trainees.

As Director of Clinical Services you will join our Executive Team and be responsible for administrative and clinical staff teams. Demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm in your work you will be an experienced manager with the ability to lead, motivate and support professional, managerial and administrative staff and volunteers to deliver our Vision whilst modelling our Values. With proven results in developing contracted services you will have strong performance management skills and a working knowledge of the mental health sector. This experience will be supported by a management qualification or equivalent.

Director of Clinical Quality

We are now looking for an experienced and credible psychotherapist to join our Executive Team as Director of Clinical Quality, providing professional oversight for our supervisors and therapists. Working as part of the Executive team you will provide clinical supervision to our training supervisors and for our senior clinicians, a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist you must be registered with a professional body: UKCP, BPC or equivalent, and have experience of developing performance and quality systems and processes within the psychotherapy field.

This is a new role for us and pivotal in developing our clinical governance processes, you will need to demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm in your clinical leadership alongside commitment to our Vision and Values. Holding Safeguarding Lead for the organisation you will advocate for practice development and quality improvement.

As part of WPF Therapy’s yearly placement intake there are opportunities for qualified Psycho­dynamic Therapists to join our Clinic. The placement is subject to client uptake and clinical sessions offered. Fortnightly Clinical Supervision is included as part of this placement. Volunteering at WPF Therapy

Library Volunteer

WPF Therapy has a bespoke in-house library and we are seeking volunteers to help run this library. Successful applicants will have good communication skills, a suitable level of technological ability, familiarity with using computers and Office, email and the internet, plus a willingness to familiarise themselves with the current library system. Some experience of working in a library, information centre or resource role is useful but not essential. For more information please contact humanresources@wpf.org.uk.
