The Supervision course is designed to explore the theory and practice of supervision from a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspective. It is offered to experienced psychodynamic counsellors/psychotherapists, or psychoanalytic psychotherapist and integrative counsellors and psychotherapist with a substantial psychodynamic background who wish to train as supervisors.  The course consists of 20 weeks of theory (seminars).  There are 20 supervision sessions following which participants may be awarded a Certificate in Supervision.

Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice

January 2019 – May 2019

Applicants should normally have a qualification in psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapy (unless the module is based on a different modality). All seminar leaders must be registered with either BPC, UKCP or BACP.  All appointees must normally have completed a training eligible for BPC registration. They should also have a teaching/training qualification or provide evidence of considerable experience of teaching.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for more than one post if possible. Please request the individual module outline prior to application.  Seminars may be 10, 20 or 30 weeks

  •      Research Module, 10 sessions in total. Five sessions in Term 2, Fridays, 5.30pm- 6.50pm, January 2019 – February 2019. Five sessions in Term 3 Mondays, 2.00pm – 3.30pm, April 2019 –       May 2019.

Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager for the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice you will have an essential role in ensuring the effective delivery of the training through recruitment of trainees and supporting their personal and clinical development through the line and operational management of Supervisors.  You will be co-ordinating the Selection Process for applicants and overseeing the application process.  The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the development of psychodynamic psychotherapy trainees in once weekly work.

21 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary c £38,400 per annum pro-rata

Volunteering at WPF Therapy

Library Volunteer

WPF Therapy has a bespoke in-house library and we are seeking volunteers to help run this library. Successful applicants will have good communication skills, a suitable level of technological ability, familiarity with using computers and Office, email and the internet, plus a willingness to familiarise themselves with the current library system. Some experience of working in a library, information centre or resource role is useful but not essential. For more information please contact humanresources@wpf.org.uk.
