Mental Health Awareness Week – 18th to 24th May 2020
“Kindness” was announced as the new theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 (formerly Sleep), in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Throughout this week staff and trustees at WPF have been sharing some of their thoughts on kindness to themselves and others. One of our trustees offered this thought that speaks of personal resilience as well as gentleness.
“Very simple – ‘Forgiving ourselves’ for not doing, or being as we want to be at the moment Accepting that life is different and that many of the things that help us function – are in short supply – or have been withdrawn.”
