Happy 50th Birthday WPF from Martin Pollecoff, Chair of UKCP

Westminster Pastoral Foundation – now WPF Therapy – was founded in 1969, the same year as the moon landing and the Stonewall riots.

Obviously it’s pretty impressive to have a school and a clinic that has lasted 50 years, but what is even better is the way in which they have renewed themselves.

WPF occupy a rabbit warren of modern offices covering two floors of a building in London’s fashionable Borough. The whole look is futuristic, right down to their new coffee mugs which are made from bamboo and are completely recyclable.

The atmosphere is efficient, welcoming and fun. The place has an integrity to it. You just feel that they know what they are doing.  And its not just communication that they are innovating. I know that WPF have been re-examining the way in which they teach. The lesson I learned there is that in order to stand still you have to change.

Happy Birthday, wishing you many more to come!
