Dementia: What does it mean for counsellors and psychotherapists?

On Saturday 25th January Kate White and Angela Cotter will present a workshop at WPF Therapy entitled Dementia: What does it mean for counsellors and psychotherapists? They are keen to dispel the myth that dementia affects only those that are elderly as it has many presentations.

By attending this workshop participants will have an opportunity to expand and deepen their understanding of the range of the dementias and the different ways that dementia manifests in the individual. They will have a greater confidence and understanding of ways to communicate with people with dementia and have a clearer understanding of the application and contribution of attachment theory in this particular context. Participants will also have an understanding of the social and political context of dementia care in the UK. Places available.
